Solo/Ensemble Software

Version 4.1 of the Data Entry Program is now available for download. This is a FREE update for users of Version 4.x. All high school and middle school directors must install this update in order to participate in Solo and Ensemble events this year.

Among the new features included in this version:

• Over 100 corrections to the high school required list.
• Integrated update checker that informs you of new updates
• New copy and paste method of creating your checkout files
• Complete Vista and Leopard compatibility

The scheduling program used by the solo and ensemble chairs will
NOT import data created by non-updated versions of the Data Entry Program. You will have to update your program and resubmit your checkout file. While you won't have to re-enter all your performer information, it is much easier to update FIRST. This will ultimately save you (and the event chair) time and stress!

It is STRONGLY recommended that directors
install the
update as soon as possible
. This will help prevent last
minute struggles to get IT departments to install the update.

  • Applications will be accepted no sooner than 6 weeks prior to the event. Any applications received before these dates will be returned.

  • District 5 groups will be given preferential treatment over outside groups requesting performance times.

  • All Directors must send a copy of their current OMEA Membership Card with their application.

  • Classification will be determined by the music selected from the required list (see below).
    (Requires Acrobat Reader software available for free from
    Adobe.)
  •  Signatures of both the director and an administrator are required on the application! If this is not so, your application will not be processed.
  • All applications must be postmarked no later than midnight,  This deadline is strictly enforced.
  • Have a full score of each selection for each judge on the floor (3).
  • Number each measure of each selection.
  • Be prepared for sight reading!
  • All of these resources are from the OMEA site and require Adobe Acrobat Reader.
